Most clients view their home as their sanctuary. This indeed is the case with this client, whom IDEATE has now created several spaces for over the years. The mandate here was to create an area within the home where the family could kick back and relax, as well as have the opportunity to entertain. The undeveloped lower level of the home was previously not used, and the perfect location. The design team worked closely with the client to uncover space requirements, key features required and to develop this warm and comforting finish and colour scheme. IDEATE also worked closely with the audio/visual consultant to ensure that the spatial design took full advantage of the technology that was to be incorporated. A wine vault, a billiard area, a guest wing including luxury bathroom were all included, but the feature space is a state-of-the-art home theatre which brings the thrill of the big screen within the comforting four walls of home. The family now uses this lower level more than any other room in their home.
