This Provincial Government office was an exercise in coordination – two user groups were relocating to this renovated office space, which was being reconfigured and adapted to the unique requirements for each user group. Some spaces were to be shared with the occupants of the overall floor plan, creating some distinct security issues to be addressed. Prudent reallocation of furnishings, prioritizing the move sequencing and exercising keen fiscal responsibility were key success factors and the end result ensured that these were all kept in close check. Even down to the rework and reuse of existing walls, doors, and sidelites best leveraged existing resources and ensured budget targets were met. The scheduling of the project was also a key consideration, and our careful coordination effort during the contract administration phase of the project ensured targets were reached.
